Dr. Subramaniyan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu. He has over 15 years of product development targeting bio-medical, aerospace, and automobile applications. Further, his research interests include Additive Manufacturing, Digital twin of systems, Surface Engineering, Materials Characterisation, Tribology, Fatigue and Fracture. He has published over 100 original research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras. Further, he has postdoctoral work experience of a couple of years at Tamkang University, Taiwan. He worked as a Principal Engineer at TSMC, Taiwan. Through his leadership roles as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator, he has spearheaded numerous research endeavours aimed at optimizing process parameters, enhancing material properties, and advancing the understanding of additive manufacturing techniques targeted for particularly bio-medical applications. His proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and material characterization has been instrumental in uncovering novel insights and driving innovation in the field of metal additive manufacturing. His track record of securing funding from prestigious agencies such as DST, DSIR, SERB, and ICMR underscores his reputation as leading researchers in the additive manufacturing domain, poised to make significant contributions to the advancement of this transformative technology. Dr. S. Anand Kumar's comprehensive background in academia, research, and industry positions him as a seasoned expert in mechanical engineering with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research and product development, particularly in the fields of additive manufacturing, surface engineering, materials science, and digital technologies. His contributions are invaluable for addressing complex challenges and driving innovation across multiple sectors.
