Important notice regarding SBL’s response to COVID-19

Countries around the world are grappling with the impact of COVID-19, and South Africa is no exception as we witness the rapid increase of confirmed positive cases on a daily basis. The University of South Africa (Unisa) and its Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) are monitoring the situation closely and is committed to keeping our stakeholders abreast of our response to COVID and its impact that it might have on you.

Pursuant to the directive from the President to prohibit any gathering beyond 100 people, the Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) has cancelled all study schools, colloquia and other events until further notice. Although the SBL will remain operational until further notice the university has put several protocols and measures in place against the spread of the virus.

The business school will be operational during working hours (07:45 – 16:00). In the spirit of the prevention of the spread of the virus, skeleton staff will be available, on a rotational basis, to assist students and other stakeholders via telephone and all other electronic platforms. You are herewith requested to, as far as possible, refrain from making any direct physical contact with staff members by visiting the SBL campus, until further notice. Students are encouraged to make use of the electronic delivery system (edsonline) as well as emails to engage with academic and support staff. Regular updates regarding the status of the operations of the SBL will also be shared on this platform. All other stakeholders are welcome to contact us via telephone OR email.

The SBL remains steadfast in its commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of its staff and all other stakeholders.
