Unisa SBL Alumni Association launches in KZN

The recent launch of the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) Alumni Association KwaZulu-Natal Chapter marks a significant milestone in fostering connections and collaboration among regional business leaders. The launch event brought together alumni of the SBL, emphasising the importance of forming such a chapter and outlining its myriad benefits.

Establishing this alumni chapter is essential as it fosters lifelong connections among graduates with a common educational background and professional aspirations. By facilitating networking opportunities, the chapter enables alumni to leverage each other's expertise, experiences and resources, thereby enriching their personal and professional lives.

The Unisa SBL Alumni Association of the KwaZulu-Natal Chapter will promote continuous learning and professional development among its members. The chapter will provide avenues for alumni to stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices through various events, workshops and seminars. This will not only enhance their individual skill sets, but also will contribute to the overall advancement of the business community in the region.

With their diverse expertise and industry insights, alumni will contribute to curriculum development, mentorship programmes and research projects, enriching the academic experience for current students and faculty members alike.

In addition to intellectual capital, the alumni chapter will also offer valuable support by mobilising alumni networks and engaging with stakeholders to raise funds for scholarships, infrastructure development and other strategic priorities of the SBL. 

The KwaZulu-Natal SBL alumni chapter holds the promise of empowering business leaders, fostering collaboration and advancing the mission of the School of Business Leadership. Through meaningful engagement and collective action, alumni are poised to make a lasting impact in their respective industries and in shaping the future of business education and leadership in South Africa.
