First-year experience at Unisa
The FYE at Unisa aims to promote a positive student experience for all first-year students at the institution. To do this, we recommend that you complete the free first-year online course.
You will be expected to move through a series of learning units, which will touch on the following aspects:
- ODeL readiness assessment
- myUnisa orientation
- Computer / digital literacy
- Career management
- Library orientation
- Academic literacy
- Student development
- ShadowMatch
Once you have successfully worked through this learning units, the FYE coordinators will direct you to the required support departments / services.
