The National FYE month
On 22-24 May 2019, the South African National Resource Centre (SANRC) which is funded by the Department of Higher Education (DHET) hosted their 5th annual conference focused on First-Year Experience (FYE) initiatives that culminates at most South African universities. The main aim of the SANRC is to improve student success in South Africa by creating and distributing research in the field of the FYE.
The Student Retention Unit (SRU) and many others pledged to contribute towards the important initiatives implemented at Unisa to support first-time entering students during the FYE month, on 1-31 May 2019.
Unisa SRU is one amongst the four universities which received an ward for the top institutional participation for the National FYE month.Click here for more information.
