Dr. Thokozane P. Dyosini is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education and Development at the University of South Africa (Unisa) in Pretoria. She is a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to advancing literacy and quality education, particularly in the foundation phase.

Dr. Dyosini holds multiple qualifications, all from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, including:

• A Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase),
• A Bachelor of Education Honours in Applied Language, Literacy, and Literature,
• A Master of Education in Applied Language, Literacy, and Literature,
• A PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

Her doctoral research focused on continuous professional development for novice teachers through mentorship in the foundation phase, emphasizing the importance of support for early-career educators.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Dyosini is an advocate for literacy and reading. She serves on the Rally to Read steering committee, helping to raise funds for literacy initiatives aimed at improving access to quality education.
