Dr Tshimangadzo J Makhanikhe

Dr Tshimangadzo J Makhanikhe is a senior lecturer in the department of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Heritage Studies under the Faculty of Humanities Social Sciences and Education at the University of Venda. Dr Makhanikhe has supervised a number of Honors and masters research within the fields of IKS and African Studies. He is an external examiner of various universities. His research interest includes among other issues around land, traditional leadership, traditional medicine, indigenous Agriculture and indigenous Science. He is passionate about teaching and learning especially in Indigenous Knowledge Systems. Dr Makhanikhe is in the process of diversifying his research interest to include Higher Education teaching and learning, curriculum development, and Work Integrated Learning. for which he is currently busy writing papers for publication.
