Prof Mpine Makoe is the Executive Dean of the College of Education and an ODeL research professor at the University of South Africa (UNISA). She is an NRF rated Research Professor in Open Distance eLearning (ODeL) and the ICDE OER ambassador. She also served as a higher education technical leader on the UNESCO’s Futures of Higher Education and was a holder of the Commonwealth of Learning chair in OER. She has worked on numerous commissioned research projects for CoL, the British Council, the Council for Higher Education, and other international distance education associations.
