4. Tateni: Breaking the cycle of poverty (2015 – to date)

  •  Responsibilities: Project leader

Description: An Engaged Scholarship/  Community Engagement project funded by UNISA as part of engaging the communities that we live in through out-reach and research. The Project is conducted in the selected communities of Mamelodi and Umtata in the schools. It collaborated with different stakeholders including the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI). DPWI project sees to support learners from Grade 10 – 12 (Maths and Science) who are interested in following careers in Built Environment. A number of learners are awarded all expenses paid university fees until they complete their studies. The teachers and principals of the schools are taken through workshops while learners are taken amongst other to winter camps. Psychological support, emotional support and career guidance are given to the learners throughout the project.

5. Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (2017 – to date)

  • Responsibilities: Project Co-leader

Description: An Engaged Scholarship/  Community Engagement project funded by UNISA as part of engaging the communities that we live in through out-reach and research. The Project is conducted in the selected communities of Mamelodi and Soweto in Gauteng; Umtata (EC); Giyani and Venda (Limpopo) in the schools. It collaboration effort between the Department of Science and Technology and Department of Psychology of Education, College of Education, UNISA.
