The Directorate for Planning and Coordination of Study Materials, as part of the study material production portfolio, is responsible for the planning and coordination of all study material in Unisa

The functions of this directorate entail:

• Managing and maintaining an electronic study material management system (E-Shed)
• Planning and coordinating the submission of study material
• Compiling and managing the completion of the annual study material submission documents
• Managing and recording of changes in submission information throughout the year
• Manage submission of documents
• Quality Assuring all final study material documents
• Guarding against copyright infringements
• Coordinating the timely flow of documents through production process
• Problem solving in respect of printing and production
• Tracking the flow of study material through the production processes
• Following up on late submissions
