The Research Information Management section is responsible for the submission of Unisa’s research outputs to the Department of Higher Education and Training. These include accredited journal articles, conference proceedings, books, book chapters, creative outputs and innovations. We are also responsible for allocations of research incentives.
We offer access to the InfoEd system, which is a research information management system (RIMS) that is used for submission. Access to the system is given to research heads in the colleges as well as the capturers. The research coordinators are able to run reports for the colleges with regard to each college's outputs. We offer training on using the RIMS.
