Understanding the study materials or books and journals production processes
The Study Materials, Production and Delivery (SMPD) is a large support services function falling within the Operations portfolio of UNISA. It consists of six directorates and has a staff complement of about 480 personnel.
Its main aim is to design, produce and disseminate all study materials (printed study guides, tutorial letters, calendars, brochures and multi media), books (about 20 titles per annum) and journals on time, adhering to the specification agreed upon, and conforming to the quality as expected from a renowned university press on the African continent.
